RUSH LIMBAUGH

Cuddy, Ph.D. October 6, 2008 [Note: Concerning the September 26 presidential debate it seemed to be a rehash of the candidates’ talking points with which most people were already familiar. When Senator McCain was presented with opportunities to say Senator Obama was lying, he didn’t. For example, Obama said “all your resources” went to Iraq. Even a 5-year old knows that’s false. What the American people want to know is what each candidate would do if commander-in-chief. For example, what specifically would Obama do if Israel pre-emptively attacked Iran, which then blocked the Strait of Hormuz? If Obama says he’d consult with our allies, would that mean only collective action would be taken? Similarly regarding Iraq, what would Obama do if sectarian violence erupts again because the Shiites try to dominate the Sunis? Would he just talk to the Shiite leadership, or would he suspend American troop withdrawals. Regarding the recent effort to bail out the “golden parachute” crowd, President Franklin Roosevelt on November, 21, 1933 wrote a letter to Col. Edward House, President Woodrow Wilson’s chief advisor, saying: “The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson.” These are people Rush Limbaugh negatively refers to as among the “global elitists,” and I sent long ago a copy of this letter to Rush’s brother David for his information.] Several decades ago, Rush Limbaugh entertained the idea that there might be a conspiracy toward a world government. However, when someone informed him that his hero, William F. Buckley, Jr., might be part of this as secretly a Commie sympathizer, he then no longer entertained such notions, saying on his radio show, “You have to believe all of this or none of it.” Actually, though, Rush a number of times through the 1990s referred to events in terms that could be described as conspiratorial. On his October 19, 1993 show, he referred to the strange things the Clinton administration had been doing in its first year as “part of a master plan.” Then on June 8 of the next year, he went even further, saying. “We have these people (in the White House) with a carefully orchestrated scheme to take over America.” A few months later, on his February 7, 1995 show, Rush pronounced that “If you amount to anything in Washington these days, it is because you have been plucked or handpicked,… plucked so-to-speak, and you are assigned success. You are assigned a certain role in government somewhere, and then your success is monitored and tracked, and you go where the pluckers and handpickers can put you.” Thus far, Rush had only spoken in terms of the U.S., but on August 20, 1997 he broadened his scope to a global scale when referring to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan’s right-hand man Maurice Strong. Rush explained that “Maurice Strong is a man who is intent on setting up global government, pure and simple, doing it in conjunction with the United Nations.” One month later, relevant to international trade, Rush on September 24 revealed regarding NAFTA that “there are forces, powerful forces, outside Washington, who are steering this one.” In referring to the “powerful forces” moving us toward world government, I refer to them as the Power Elite. That’s not much different from what Rush said on October 19, 1999 when playing “one of my all-time favorite tunes,” when he emphasized its lyrics that say “We’ve got to fight the powers-that-be.” This was after Rush on February 25, 1999 had thrown “something out for you conspiracy believers” when he referred to Al Gore’s refusal to join “the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)…. It’s one of David Rockefeller’s organizations. Al Gore declined membership…. That could be one of the reasons why he’s held in some disfavor.” Perhaps Rush himself would have been one of these “conspiracy believers” if he had just read prominent CFR member Arthur Schlesinger, Jr.’s A THOUSAND DAYS (1965) in which the CFR is acknowledged to be a “front organization” for “the American establishment” whose “heart is the New York financial and legal community.” Relevant to this, former NEW YORK TIMES editorial page editor John Swinton said to a gathering of journalists: “There is no such thing in America as an independent press. You know it and I know it. The business of the New York journalist is to destroy the proof, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to sell his country for his daily bread. We are the tools of vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumpingjacks; they pull the strings and we dance. We are intellectual prostitutes.” President Woodrow Wilson was aware of these powerful “men behind the scenes” when he revealed in an October 19, 1912 speech at Carnegie Hall that “some of the biggest men in the United States in the field of commerce and manufacturing are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.” During the 1990s, Rush had ridiculed those who talked in terms of President George H.W. Bush’s “New World Order” being part of the global conspiracy. However, regarding permanent normal trade relations with China, Rush seemed finally to begin to wake up when on May 25, 2000, he commented: “How come George W. Bush and Clinton are on the same side of the permanent normal trade relations with China issue? New World Order?” Even given this apparent awakening, Rush still refuses to allow conspiracy callers on his radio program. Yet he hasn’t recently demeaned such people by playing his “Kook Test” over the air. Among the items on this test which could qualify someone as a “kook” was if you believed David Rockefeller and the CFR were conspiring to bring about a world government. In order to try and educate Rush about this, I sent some documents to his brother David Limbaugh’s law office in Cape Girardeau, MO. Among these was a letter signed November 16, 1949 by Professor Carroll Quigley (Bill Clinton’s mentor at Georgetown University), revealing the members of Cecil Rhodes’ secret Society of the Elect; a 1931 speech by Rhodes’ helper Arnold Toynbee revealing they were undermining national sovereignty but would lie about it; and another letter signed June 22, 1993 by President Clinton specifically supporting “world government.” Finally, I sent him the first two pages of David Rockefeller’s chapter “Proud Internationalist” in his book MEMOIRS (2002). This is where Rockefeller begins by referring to the CFR, of which he was chairman for 15 years, and then admitting that he’s “part of a secret cabal working against the best interest of the United States… and conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world.” During Rockefeller’s chairmanship, the CFR’s journal FOREIGN AFFAIRS (April 1974) published Rhodes scholar Richard Gardner’s comment that “an end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault.” Rockefeller also established the Trilateral Commission with Zbigniew Brzezinski as its first director, and I have a tape of Brzezinski at Mikhail Gorbachev’s first State of the World forum in 1995 saying that “progressive regionalization” is the precondition for globalization, because “we cannot leap into world government through one quick step.” Brzezinski is currently Senator Obama’s chief foreign policy advisor. Senator McCain’s chief foreign policy advisor is Rockefeller protégé Henry Kissinger who, according to Gen. Al Haig, said soldiers are simply “dumb animals” to be used in the furtherance of an administration’s foreign policy. Why would a Vietnam war veteran like McCain have someone with this attitude as his chief advisor? Since sending the Rockefeller “secret cabal” quote and other information to Rush’s brother, I have noticed Rush has repeatedly referred to David Rockefeller as one of a number of global elitists to whom he refers with some disdain. It is, of course, not very likely that Rush will admit his attitude toward conspiracy theorists was wrong. After all, he cannot be accused of being very humble, unless he decides to declare himself the MOST humble person on earth. Actually, on his May 29, 2003 program at 2:10 pm, Rush acknowledged: “I am a big ego-freak, as you people know.” If he were more open to receiving information, he would not appear recently to have just discovered Saul Alinsky had an acknowledgement to Lucifer at the front of his book RULES FOR RADICALS. Alinsky founded the Industrial Areas Foundation which trained community organizers beginning in the Chicago area where Barack Obama was a community organizer. Researchers like myself have known about Alinsky for decades and long ago could have informed Rush about Alinsky’s radical views. More recently, on September 15, 2008 Rush was referring to Sarah Palin’s view that Georgia should be part of NATO. He then played a tape of Obama supporting “further cooperation among Transatlantic institutions,” and Rush exclaimed that Obama didn’t know what he was talking about because NATO is a specific defense treaty. Actually, it’s Rush who didn’t understand what Obama really was saying. If Rush were not so closed-minded toward receiving information from “conspiracy theorists,” he’d realize Obama probably was referring to the institutional cooperation described in Bill Clinton’s “Transatlantic Agreement” of 1995. Rush would also realize that Franklin Raines (formerly officer with Fannie Mae), whom Rush recently has been criticizing regarding the mortgage crisis, was a Rhodes Scholar like Bill Clinton and the other 22-plus Rhodes scholars Clinton appointed to high-level positions in his administration (see my books SECRET RECORDS REVEALED and THE GLOBALISTS: THE POWER ELITE EXPOSED regarding Cecil Rhodes’ secret Society of the Elect “to take the government of the whole world” in Rhodes’ own words). Two of these Rhodes scholars were Strobe Talbott and George Stephanopoulos. Talbott in TIME (July 20, 1992) wrote that “perhaps national sovereignty wasn’t such a great idea after all” and “the case for world government” was “clinched.” And on ABC’s “This Week” (March 15, 1997) when Cokie Roberts said President Clinton’s changed policy on China “had more to do with American money,” Stephanopoulos replied: “Council on Foreign Relations, Lehman Brothers, Goldman-Sachs, absolutely.” The Power Elite’s view is that Rush serves the useful function of keeping the masses entertained and in line, like William Conrad in BROTHERHOOD OF THE BELL. For example, have you ever heard Rush give a detailed critique of derivatives? And if you think the billions of dollars in debt the taxpayer will have to pay for the current federal bailout are the end of our economic woes, just wait until the baby-boom generation soon retires, taking a huge amount of funds out of Social Security? Perhaps one day, the repeatedly self-described “All-Seeing, All-Knowing” Rush will recognize that he really doesn’t know everything, and that there really is a secret cabal conspiring to bring about a World Socialist Government. In case you don’t believe the Power Elite’s goal is a World Socialist Government, you should read Rhodes scholar E. J. Dionne, Jr.’s article “A World Safe for Socialism” (THE WASHINGTON POST, April 27, 1999). Actually, there may be some hope for Rush to wake up, because on his January 28, 1999 program, he at last recognized a movement toward Fascism (Socialism-lite). Regarding President Clinton’s 1999 proposal that the federal government invest about $700 billion of the Social Security funds in the stock market, Rush warned: “Folks, you just can’t let the government start buying stocks – not in these amounts of money. It’s Fascism. It’s on the road to Fascism.” Two years after Rush’s warning, the U.S. Conference of Mayors on June 25, 2001 passed a resolution stating that the Conference endorses the Earth Charter and commits the organization to the realization of its aim. The charter was written Steven Rockefeller (Nelson Rockefeller’s son) for elitists Mikhail Gorbachev and Maurice Strong, and one of the charter’s main goals is to “promote the equitable distribution of wealth within nations and among nations,” which is a characteristic of Socialism. We can only hope that Rush will wake up soon regarding what’s happening today, because the Power Elite has a timetable for its plan. The one-world religion is scheduled for A.D. 2025 and the global currency for A.D. 2018 (see the cover of THE ECONOMIST, January 9, 1988). If the global currency is to begin in 10 years, then the North American regional currency, the Amero, must begin in just a few years (the Euro already exists and South American nations are planning their regional currency). This will be brought about by devaluing the dollar, which has already begun with the current federal government bailouts. Currently, McCain is 6 points behind Obama in the polls with less than a month to go before the election. Therefore, McCain seems bound to lose unless there just “happens” to be a foreign affairs or terrorist incident, in which case the easily manipulated American public will elect McCain by a slim margin. Should the Power Elite so desire, one needs to remember what CFR member William Paley’s chief advisor said when Paley began CBS in 1928. In that year, Paley’s advisor Edward Bernays in PROPAGANDA wrote: “Those who manipulate the organized habits and opinions of the masses constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of the country…. It remains a fact that in almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.” Perhaps one day, Rush will realize this. Even Richard Nixon eventually woke up to the extent of the Power Elite’s control when he revealed in THE REAL WAR (1980) that “the nation’s immediate problem is that while the common man fights America’s wars, the intellectual elite sets its agenda. Today, whether the West lives or dies is in the hands of its new power elite: those who set the terms of public debate, who manipulate the symbols, who decide whether nations or leaders will be depicted on 100 million television sets as ‘good’ or ‘bad.’ This power elite sets the limits of the possible for Presidents and Congress.
