Re: [Cin] Shortcuts
Just random note on shortcuts: I initially thought ctrl-alt-a was not working, but then I discovered it was already taken by KDE - so I deleted it as global/DE level shortcut - and now everything works ... BUT there is still some hope that it will get done in the far future. I say there is hope because "scaling" got done and that was hard and a long time request. By comparison upgrading Masks was trivial and it took 4 weeks to get it all done. The reason for the difficulty is the original design of Cinelerra written back in the olden days with slower computers with less memory. I think it would be do-able if the current QT cross-platform framework was used instead but that is another difficult thing to switch to. Most users would rather the Videoscope and color management were improved instead. It has been proposed to alternatively allow for 1 different shortcut setup as established by users so at least you could choose one or the other. However, that would be a nightmare to get 2 or more people to agree on the alternative setup. Anyway, it would probably be better to make it flexible for any shortcut. *Igor:* > I think it would be better to assign Ctrl+D shortcut for "Delete last > track" instead of Ctrl+Shif+D. Re: [Cin] shortcut for going trough keyframes
Hi, Igor, I "almost" agree with you but then I started using it and decided that maybe most people would want them separated because with some plugins you can have many, many keyframes and then it takes forever to get to an auto marker. We added Alt-a and Ctrl-Alt-a for Next auto and Previous keyframe. I guess the auto markers are really keyframes and are called that in many places. Re: [Cin] Shortcuts
How hard would it be to create a menu for user-editable shortcuts? Ardour/mixbus has something like this, and I find it really, really convenient. Would it be possible to adapt their code, or would it require huge rewrites? http://www.harrisonconsoles.com/mixbus/mixbus32c-6-live-manual/1/en/topic/keyboard-shortcuts?q=shortcuts Dan On Sat, Mar 7, 2020 at 12:18 PM Igor BEGHETTO < > wrote: > > > > Hi! > > > *IMPORTANT: the shortcut for “Delete last track” has been changed* > > from the lower case letter “d” > > to Ctrl-Shift-D. [Cin] Shortcuts
Hi! *IMPORTANT: the shortcut for “Delete last track” has been changed* from the lower case letter “d” to Ctrl-Shift-D. Having just “d” was somewhat dangerous per Dan (Quinton?) because off screen. A “format” option button for ffmpeg in the Render menu shows up when you click on the Video wrench icon. This provides a few more tuning operators for the render for choices like mp4. I think that the shorcuts are useful for the most/frequently used operation/action. Cinelerra have some shortcuts where, I think, you can do without them: for example in File Menu there are "BD Render..." (Ctrl+D) and "DVD Render" (Alt+D). I think it would be better to assign Ctrl+D shortcut for "Delete last track" instead of Ctrl+Shif+D. So, more intuitive, you have Shift+D to "Delete First track", and Ctrl+D to "Delete Last track": Shift is the key up (then first), and Ctrl is the key down (then last) in the keyboard. About "shortcut for going trough *Autos* keyframes" thread. We are going to "attempt" to add code to use a shortcut of Alt-a for next fader/speed/autos and Ctrl-a for previous auto. This should come in handy. I think, if possible, to use the same shortcuts of the Plugin's keyframes because they are always keyframes, for me. Re: [Cin] shortcut for going trough keyframes
Hi! I think, if possible, to use the same shortcuts of the Plugin's keyframes because they are always keyframes, for me. Thanks IgorBeg Il 03/03/2020 1.30, Phyllis Smith ha scritto: I also noticed when I set fader keyframe I can't return to the same position again. Here is how to do this. Mouse directly over the fader auto until the pointer cursor is stopped and stable as a pointer cursor (not a hairline). Then simply press and release the middle mouse button without moving. Now you will be exactly on the fader auto. I sometimes want to walk through keyframes - in last situation I used video and audio faders . We are going to "attempt" to add code to use a shortcut of Alt-a for next fader/speed/autos and Ctrl-a for previous auto. This should come in handy. -- Cin mailing list Cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org https://lists.cinelerra-gg.org/mailman/listinfo/cin
