I am running Ubuntu 11 as a 32-bit guest virtual machine of Windows 7 using VMWare workstation. Attempting to retrieve the cinelerra package failed, so I decided to compile it. Another message will detail that failure. So anyway, after downloading cinelerra via git and running: ./autogen.sh && .
