Putting a NM-ATM-4T1 in a 3662 gave me a crash dump and reboot.

Last I recall (and it's been a while), the OIR functionality on the 3660
series was to remove and replace a card with a like card, not to insert
any new card into the slot.

But *that* is a 7500 feature.
OIR on 7200 and 6500/7600 has always been completely painless for us.
Never had the need to try it on our lone 3660,
I just wanted a second opinion, maybe a 3rd or 4th :) Is it safe to pull a
NM-1FE-TX out of a running 3660? If I am reading correctly the cisco site
says yes, but it would be nice to hear someone say they have done it before.

The 3660 supports OIR for the NM, but not the 3620/3640:

I found that and another document after I found out that it's called OIR and
not just Hot Swap. Heh. I can verify that the 3660 does not pitch a fit
when you pull a NM-1FE-TX out of it.
