If you're looking at something that's small and port-dense,
you'll likely be looking at a Metro-E switch.
The ME3750 is now EoS, but if you need a couple you may be
able to still find some on the market.

We are looking to run MPLS
You could take a look at the Metro Ethernet switches. Some of them might
be suitable for your setup.

The 2801 will do MPLS too, at least with Enterprise Services or larger
feature set AFAICT.

You could have a look at the ISR-G2 1921, it can handle much more traffic,
is more recent (not nearing EoS
