[c-nsp] Cisco 7609 packet punted to CPU

2017-07-12 Thread krunal shah
We have issue that I have been dealing with TAC engineer from last 3 weeks
now.

Platform is Cisco 7609 with 15(3)S3 advipservice with all 6708 DFC3CXL line
card running MPLS and full BGP table imported into a VRF.

We are getting traffic punted to CPU from one specific line card. We
replaced the line card and still getting same issue.

Looking at some CLI

remote command module 1 show mls cef mpls | ex drop

shows all MPLS lables as punt but same lables from other line cards and SP
are showing recirc

#remote command module 1 show mls cef mpls | ex drop

#remote command module 2 show mls cef mpls label 16
Codes: + - Push label, - - Pop Label * - Swap Label, E - exp1
Index LocalLabel Out i/f
   Label Op
2323 16 (EOS)(-)recirc

#remote command module 1 show mls cef mpls label 16

Codes: + - Push label, - - Pop Label * - Swap Label, E - exp1
Index LocalLabel Out i/f
   Label Op
12264 16 (EOS) punt

Has anyone run into this issue before and what could have trigger this and
how to fix it?

Re: [c-nsp] ASR9K - 6PE packets punted to RP

2017-07-12 Thread Aaron Gould
Thanks James...they mention it's the changing of the v6 next-hop from
recursive to non-recursive or vice versa that causes an issue

https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuo20651

I see 6VPE is also mentioned as possibly affected. Seems like I'm not
completely safe since I run 6VPE :|

Yea, I do have 6VPE deployed on the other network that we run, and there are no
problems there.

As for 6PE problems I'm having now..

TAC hasn't gotten back to us yet, but on the other somewhat related bug seems
to be CSCuo20651 affecting both v4 and v6 labeled-ucast.
It suggests doing 'clear route ipv6 unicast' as a workaround to force
reprogramming of v6 (6pe included) routes into FIB.

[c-nsp] ASR9K - 6PE packets punted to RP

2017-07-12 Thread James Jun
Hello list,

Has anybody else been running into CSCtw62709 on ASR9K? ("Labeled IPv6 packets
are punted to CPU")

We're running into this problem where on ASR9010 PE running XR 5.1.3, 6PE
packets are getting MDF_PUNT_POLICE'd into LPTS.
Strangely, the bug search tool shows known affected release is 4.2.0, not 5.x
and it's affecting 5.1.3; and, no known fixed releases?

I've opened a TAC case to get more details, but was wondering if anyone else
had similar issues with 6PE getting punted to RP?

Re: [c-nsp] STM-1 over MPLS using ASR920

2017-07-12 Thread George Giannousopoulos
Hi,

My understanding is that the OC3 module must be used when you need to
transport channelized STM-1 or when you need to terminate multiple E1
circuits to a single STM-1 interface.
I think TSOP Smart SFP supports only clear channel STM-1.

I'm currently testing both scenarios and I'll be able to provide some
feedback within the next two weeks

The below. Looking for feedback from the field.

TsoP Smart SFP [2]:
ONS-SC-155-TSOP -> “TSoP Smart SFP” da inserire in uno slot SFP 1GE nel ASR920

TsoP in OC3 module [1], [2]:
Modulo A900-IMA4OS + SFP OC3 ONS-SI-155-I1 -> qua occupiamo lo slot nel ASR920

VCoP Smart SFP [3]:
ONS-SI-OC-VCOP: VCoP Smart SFP 155/622 in SFP o SFP+.
