Today we were facing a ddos attack with approx. 1.5 GBit/s and 3
Mpackets/s. The traffic came in on a port of a 6704 and went out on
another port of the same linecard.
We have two annoying phenomena to deal with:

Yes of course, I forgot to mention this one. But as it is not available
on any 10/100/1000-TX-linecard it is no solution in this case.

While redistributing TCAM within our 7600/Sup720-3BXL we have also
upgraded to IOS 12.2(33)SRE9a.
So far, everything is perfectly fine. But at some point I wanted to
check "show archive" and that was apparently a bad idea.

We had the very same issue with a 3750-X
