Re: [c-nsp] 32-bit ASN for 7200 G2?

2009-11-18 Thread Paolo Lucente
Hi,

You can wait a couple of weeks and get the feature on 12.2SRE.
32-bit ASN should be around on 12.0S images aswell.

Cheers,
Paolo

get it in 12.2S or 12.4 mainline at all.

 Is that really the case?

What does everyone else use on their G2/7201s? This is just for BGP

Hi @All,

what information I got regarding AS32 is somewhat worrysome:

12.0(32)S12 Q4/2008
for 72 GSR

12.4(24)T Q1/2009
ISR's, 72, 73

12.2SRE Q3-Q4/2009
for 72 76

12.2SXI unspecified late 2009
for 65

12.2SB no longer for 72, only 10k

At least they'll go for asplain, so messing around with the regex to get asdot
(maybe optionally supported...?) implemented is history.

Any dates announced for 12.5T?

The 4-byte ASNs will still hit in the 12.4T line. 12.5T will be
created after 12.5M, which still is somewhere in the future.

 I'll get back with you.

It's going to be in a 12.0(33)S rebuild for sure.

But I need to check back on what the 12008 decision
 was...ie: only in 32S rebuilds?

 Hi,

Does anyone know if the 32 bit ASN support is going to get
implemented in the 12008 or 7500 RSP8 series? If not, what
 is recommended as replacements?
