I've actually been looking into this myself. Our Wi-Fi system now has a NAT mechanism which breaks Jabber, and we have a single DNS. As far as I can tell, even if the client fails to be able to connect with the cisco uds SRV record, as long as it is there, it will try and connect to the UCM

I have a customer who doesn't want the Expressway E FQDN to be put into the public DNS SRV record and wants to use an alias such as an a record in the collab-edge SRV which points to the public IP, I cant seem to find if this is supported or not can anyone confirm if this is supported?

If I remember the original 7912 had a traffic issue with the built-in switch, but I think that was just broadcast traffic and the next gen of that model fixed it. The original 7912 didn’t have a switch, it was all done in CPU. This is why it rolled over with lots of unicast or broadcast
