I've actually been looking into this myself. Our Wi-Fi system now has a NAT
mechanism which breaks Jabber, and we have a single DNS. As far as I can tell,
even if the client fails to be able to connect with the cisco uds SRV record,
as long as it is there, it will try and connect to the UCM
Thank you for sharing your findings Adam,
Did you determine if the high volume traffic causing an issue is just that sent
to/from the phone, or all data via the built-in switch? If it’s the latter I’d
be surprised if this is a new finding. If I remember the original 7912 had a
traffic issue
Dear Group,
I'm trying to enable SSO for Expressway MRA setup based on this

There is no Custom Rule for Expressway C. I have this working in multiple ADFS

Just the LDAP rule mapping SAM-Account-Name to UID

It's definitely going to keep trying those services if it sees _cisco-uds.
I'd try to do external DNS on the wireless as a workaround there.
JID and service discovery domain can definitely be different but AD-joined
PCs will try the AD domain as service discovery domain by default.

we tried this and it didn't work out so well. we didn't try to fix things
because we were on a limited time frame. we also ran into an issue where the
hostname has to match the outside name/certificate details as well as matching
the service discovery domain).

Im seeing a generic error saying I cant upload scripts. I saw a bug for 8.x

this is supported or not can anyone confirm if this is supported?

All,
Just to follow up on this one, though it has been a long time…
While the details on the whole thing are very slim, TAC was able to actually
reproduce the issue we were reporting on the 7941/61 and G-GE flavors of phone.
Phones that receive “too much” traffic (somewhere in the order of
If I remember the original 7912 had a traffic issue with the built-in switch,
but I think that was just broadcast traffic and the next gen of that model
fixed it.
The original 7912 didn’t have a switch, it was all done in CPU. This is why it
rolled over with lots of unicast or broadcast
Hi All,
Just wanted to confirm my understanding with regards to which Fax
topology to shoose. Some key points:
- The ITSP network to the customer is over a dedicated WAN link with QoS
enabled
- The ITSP does not support any kind of Fax Relay
- The ITSP uses G711 ulaw for all calls
Sorry I should specify I meant "VG310 in SCCP mode can only support
NSE-based Modem Passthrough, NSE-based T.38 relay and Cisco Fax Relay".

Not sure if it's a standard setup, but if someone has a recent, working CUBE
config for British Telecom they will share please?
I'd appreciate it very much.
