In certain older versions I've seen this happen even when the services were all
disabled but because they were not disabled in the same order shown in the
guide.

We run cups 10.5.2.21900-4 and I try to change the IM address scheme to the
EMail address or Directory URI.
So I stopped the necessary five services and went to Advanced Presence
Settings. However there is no way that I can change the settings. They are
allways greyed out.
