Re: [cisco-voip] ios console access asking for old password

2017-10-13 Thread Lelio Fulgenzi
Plus 100 for Fred Hunt!

This was a weird one. And for a number of reasons, had us stuck. Turns out,
yes, the enter key was being pressed twice. Why? Not sure. It worked fine on a
2921 router.

I tried things out using ALT+013 and that worked fine.

I tried connecting laptop directly, no special action needed, worked fine, so
it was the terminal server use.

In putty, I modified the following and it worked fine.

[ ] Return key sends Telnet New Line instead of ^M

It's behaving how it would if you hit Enter twice after entering your username,
leaving the password field blank. Is the console cable (and possibly a
USB-to-serial adapter) you're using working fine to console into other routers?

Anyone seen anything like this? I'm preparing for ios upgrades and want to
monitor via the console port. I've compared this to another router and the
relevant settings are the same. Could this be something on the far end TACACS+
server causing me issues?

2017-10-13 Thread Heim, Dennis
And the “admin” of the corporate smart account is probably whoever registered
the first Cisco One router several years ago. You can start moving your
existing PAKs into smart licensing virtual accounts. I would start trying to
get customers to do that.

Remembe, PAK keys were associated with a specific user’s CCO. Smart licensing
entitlement gets owned by org/virtual account.

As long as they actually get it all there, I am fine with it. My fear is they
get ½ way through and go… nah too much work… lets go in another direction. Of
course license migrations is really code for licensing true up and prove what
you actually paid for because Cisco’s records always disappear around this time.

The project must be using an API or a major framework to do something. It

I was looking to do my project focusing on Cisco collaboration using REST API.
Can you guys suggest any project ideas?

Re: [cisco-voip] Hide individual numbers behind hunt pilot number

Sending the calls through a translation pattern is probably easiest. Give
everyone in the hunt group a new CSS with new partition that sends all
calls through a translation pattern that masks the number then has your
normal CSS on the translation pattern.

[cisco-voip] Hide individual numbers behind hunt pilot number

2017-10-13 Thread Sebastian Hagedorn

Hi,

using CUCM 10.0 we have achieved the goal stated in the subject using
Calling Party Transformation Patterns. The pattern is the number(s) we want
to hide, the field "Calling Party Transformation Mask" contains the number
of the hunt pilot, and the Partition references a CSS that is applied to
the MGCP gateway as "Calling Party Transformation CSS".

So far, so good. But this only works for calls that go through the gateway.
Ideally we would like to achieve the same effect for internal calls as
well. I haven't been able to figure out where I need to apply a Calling
Party Transformation CSS for it to work for all calls.

Ideas? Or is there a different way to achieve that?

Thanks
Sebastian
