Re: [cisco-voip] SPAN Port on ISR4451

2019-08-23 Thread Brian Meade
I don't think SPAN is actually supported on ISR's. You could probably do
an embedded packet capture.

Ok. Gotcha. Read that warning too. Time to reach out to my web server guy.

Yes, there is or was a note somewhere that some web servers don't like the
characters in the names. I just upload it to a TFTP node and serve it there.

My trouble is knowing which users have rights. If they don't they get prompted
to install something that doesn't work , and it continues until we update them
through some other means .

I have done both for Mac and Windows, though both have become useless in my
environment due to administrator rights requirements.

Mac users apparently are prompted either for the SU password or to unlock a
keychain, and they don't want to give that superuser password to Mac customers
here now, though they will deploy through JAMF.

The MAC one requires that really long file name that often contains !'s and
such in it, that is available for download.

For example:

269866
12.1.1

https://TFTPServer:6972/Jabber/Install_Cisco-Jabber-Mac-12.1.1.269866-76849656-MCwCFGTVpWwR0U2yaAR5Z6MT5T3sdE0HAhQ8luMs_vRUffZajT_h_0Q1ksjqzQ!!.ziphttps://TFTPServer:6972/Jabber/Install_Cisco-Jabber-Mac-12.1.1.269866-76849656-MCwCFGTVpWwR0U2yaAR5Z6MT5T3sdE0HAhQ8luMs_vRUffZajT_h_0Q1ksjqzQ!!.zip%3c/DownloadURL>>

It works though as well as it does.

Re: [cisco-voip] automatic updates for Jabber - windows and mac

2019-08-23 Thread Lelio Fulgenzi

Thanks Adam. I _suspect_ it's use will diminish over time here as well. My
thought process is this:

  1. Pilot the lastest version of Jabber, updated through auto-update-pilot /
jabber XML files (only available to those with admin rights).
  2. Update those workstations which are SCCM controlled (or equiv)
  3. Update the global auto-update XML file to catch those remaining

It's not much extra effort to get going or to maintain, so I think I'm ok with
it. Until, of course, they remove admin rights from those of us who have it.

I read about that "long file name version" elsewhere - but I can't seem to find
it on CCO downloads. I only see two files available. The ZIP file doesn't have
it either.

Do _we_ have to rename it?

Cisco Jabber for Mac (Automatic update installation file)
CiscoJabberMac-12.6.1.284405-AutoUpdate.zip
13-Jun-2019
102.25 MB
Cisco Jabber for Mac (Manual Installation file)
CiscoJabberMac-12.6.1.284405.pkg
13-Jun-2019
102.63 MB

[cisco-voip] SPAN Port on ISR4451

2019-08-23 Thread Reto Gassmann
Hello Group

I try to set up a SPAN Port on a ISR 4451
(isr4400-universalk9.16.06.06.SPA.bin).

The interface config are configured like this:

interface Port-channel13

description *** LAN PO 13 Gig0/0/0 + Gig0/0/1 ***

IP address x.y.z.z 255.255.252.0

no negotiation auto

!

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/0

description *** LAN Gig0/0/0 ***

no ip address

negotiation auto

channel-group 13 mode active

!

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/1

description *** LAN Gig0/0/1 ***

no ip address

negotiation auto

channel-group 13 mode active

Now I try to mirror Port-channel13 to GigabitEthernet0/0/2 with this
command:

gw# conf t

gw (config)#monitor session 1 source interface port-channel 13

But it fails:

Only NGIO switch is supported for Local SPAN.

SPAN Session Validation failed.

Has anyone an idea how I can setup a SPAN Port on the ISR?

Thanks a lot
