Re: [cisco-voip] IP Phone 8811 backgrounds

2019-09-23 Thread Ryan Huff
I find that on-prem CUCM is still used fairly substantially.. :).

The thumbnail needs to be PNG and 139x109 (not 159x109). I’d also double check
the spelling and casing of the directory in TFTP; Desktops/800x400

Your images must be in PNG format and the dimensions of the full sized image
must be within 800 pixels by 480 pixels. Thumbnail images are 139 pixels
(width) by 109 pixels (height).

Hi all,

Not sure if anyone is still using on-prem CUCM much these days but am trying to
update some 8811 background and am getting a “Wallpaper cannot be set.
Incompatible image size”.

My image and thumbnail are:
800 x 480 x 24 bit
Thumbnails are: 159 x 109 x 24 which match the existing backgrounds.

Although there is some documentation that says they need to be 139 x 109 for
the Thumbnails.

I would have thought the original included images would be okay? But they are
not displaying either.

Anyone done this and know for certain what they should be?

Cheers
Dana

Re: [cisco-voip] Softkey Template

2019-09-23 Thread Hunter Fuller
I think this has something to do with the "Actionable Alert" not being
a place where softkeys can appear. Technically it is some sort of
"pop-over" on this unit. On the 7800 it is softkeys, but not on the
8800.

2019-09-23 Thread Anthony Holloway
I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think it was much more complicated than that.

I googled searched "cisco 8851 remove decline"

And found a forum posting

where someone mentioned this setting on the phone page in CUCM Admin:

*Actionable Incoming Call Alert*

I tried it out on my 8851 and sure enough, it removed both Decline and
Ignore.

I guess softkey configuration is now spread into two different places.

Re: [cisco-voip] two share buttons in Jabber, only one allows remote control

2019-09-23 Thread Pawlowski, Adam
I remember that being a complaint during the beta, that the iconography isn’t
great there and the default of one button is not the same as the other.

I gather then that’s not been fixed. We don’t support the IM only share so the
tiny share button remains eternally greyed out here – still confusing but less
consequence.

Ok. So the share button at the bottom of the video screen sends the data as
presentation stream - and is usable with video endpoints.

The one at the top right of the window bar is not compatible with video
endpoints.

Would be nice to have a warning pop up to let users know something of the
difference.

Wonder if there are Jabber-config parameters test help

OK – is this a bug or working by design?

The button that does not allow remote control is an immediate screen share and
appears in the same video window.

The button that does allow remote control is a separate window and the far end
has an option to accept first.

Ugh.

[cisco-voip] Softkey Template

2019-09-23 Thread Reto Gassmann
Hello Group

We have an issue with IP Phone 8851 and softkey template. We have
configured a new softkey template and set this as the softkey layout in the
device configuration. We configured the „Ring In“ state with only the
Answer Option selected. However, if a call arrives on the phone we see
Answer, Divert and Ignore.
We don‘t want the users to be able to send the call with the „Divert“ key
to the voicemail.
So what are we missing?

Thanks a lot
