Can the two phones pass RTP between them to verify that SIP and RTP are functional? We have UCExpert which has been in place for many years, but don’t use it for a whole lot of things due to the interface not being very intuitive. Brian Palmer| VoiceOps | DC6 3 355 904-905-8263 |

Unfortunately not for the actual media. You just have to look at codecs negotiated, IP's and RTP packet counts. This is more remote control manually for testing and troubleshooting. I remember UnifiedFX did grab and stream the audio. I think one of the other ones too - like VoipIntegration tools

This is gold right here Adam. Thanks. You've summarized everything very well. I've run into a few of these things and had forgotten about them. It's difficult to impress design on someone without quoting technical limitations. Right now, you've hit the nail on the head with respect to

I have been pushing my shop to reduce the number of shared lines that are in use in general, and have been banging on that drum for a while. Having your own line and voicemail meshes better with other services, and keeps your data separate as far as records, messages, etc as privacy continues

Lelio, Well – maybe. They rescinded video conferencing (and transcoding?) using the DSPs at some point. Audio transcoding is done in software all day – but the CPU of the ISR G2 platform at least is not its strong point, it is quickly snowed in by enough feature processing, records processing,

What are people’s experiences with deploying Jabber with a shared line as the primary extension? So, it would be two sets of four devices: botuser1, botuser2, csfuser1, csfuser2, etc. But they would all have the same DN. I doubt that Teams unified client in either CUCM or webex calling

I think my words my have been confusing. When I said "They just don't turn data into knowledge." I didn't mean Donoma. In fact, I really only was referring to CDR tools which stop at backing up the call log truck to your desk and dumping a mountain of records on you for you to sort through.

Back to CUCM on prem in lab via VPN. The CUCM AWS deployment is out of reach for lab purposes. That one is basically CUCM on VMWare in AWS (which is like the dedicated resources) - it's not AWS AMI format. That said, I've got a great provider here in Australia that does VMWare based cloud

Slightly OT. Recently purchased and stood up some SBCs for a MS Team integration. CUBE wasn’t an option as the feature wasn’t out of beta. I’ve been happy with the Ribbon SWe virtual platform. It seems easier to manage/support than CUBEs. I’m generally happy with a command line however
