Anyone come across anything like 7940's not playing Ringback to the user
when an external call is made out externally over a SIP trunk.
CUCM is V10. Firmware on the 7940's is as up to date as possible. Calls
proceeded normally on CUCM 8.5 normally. Only noticed this on the move to
V10.
Thanks

Just been through this exact scenario. Basically the phones will show the
+ symbol in the calling lists and on the display on inbound calls, but if
you try and dial the +E164 stored number it will drop the + and dial the
remaining digits. Basically we just had to setup a TP to allow calling

alarm?
I'm not sure what the reason for the other call control group would be.

We've always had DRS backups in place given thats the officially supported
path for restore. Do keep some Veeam backups in place but tend to run them
infrequently when we're looking to do work on the cluster and want a quick
fallback position. I would tend to power down and backup to ensure

Wondering if anyone out there has deployed 8865 phones as UCCX Agent
endpoints. I can see they don't get listed specifically until UCCX 11 in
the compatibility matrices. Given they run common code across the 88XX
fleet, the 88's first show in the matrix on CCX9.0.2SU2, is it safe to

I've done something similar by encapsulating the time logic in XML and then
using XPath queries in UCCX to pull the info and make decisions based on
the results. In our case it's an oncall shift schedule system that UCCX
pulls XML from.
the call flow portion of the XML looks something like:

Was the error message when you were trying to save from within the CCX

Looking to do an upgrade of a V8.5 System to V11.5 in the near future.
Taking a look at the Locales available on CCO and it appears nothing's been
released for 11.5(1)SU2 yet, only 11.5(1)SU1.
I see that the Upgrade docs previously noted that the locale version needed
to match the release
I saw something similar with a fresh install / upgrade (from 11.0 to 11.5 -
didn't have a bootable 11.5 ISO) I attempted last week.
Found that the upgrade via GUI wouldn't successfully complete. It would
get to the section that mentions releasing the upgrade lock but never

As a start, check to see whether Enterprise Phone Parameters, or the Device
itself has the Device Specific Option 'Settings Access' set to anything but
Enabled. I know configuring that option with disabled will remove the
option completely from the device menu's.

To be honest it was the best thing to happen. After inheriting a customer
setup where they were using AA's on O365, with Cube acting as the SBC, we
saw endless issues with calls being answered but no audio heard. Wouldn't
work for a varied length of time only to just start working again.

I've seen something similar last week with an analogue intercom system (but
connecting to a VG320).
Ended up applying a couple of 'tone dialtone ..' commands to the dial-peer
which is associated with the peer connected to the analogue endpoint:
