[cisco-voip] 10.5 Prime License Manager HA Deployment

2014-12-26 Thread Ryan Huff
Looking to deploy two PLM servers in an HA fashion. I assume that I just need
to add a reference to the second PLM in the CCM Server section like a typical
CCM subscriber. Is that correct?

Thanks,

Unless someone knows something I don't, you can't run PLM in HA. You can
run as many instances of it as you want, but your software is registered
to one particular instance. If it goes off-line it doesn't break any of
your products, and you have time to restore it to service using backups,
 VMWare tools etc.

Note that it doesn't expose the back up scheduler from the UI for whatever
reason, so one of your license maintenance tasks should be to back it up.
I have successfully enabled a schedule from the CLI, but it returns to
disabled after reboot or something (not sure).

Nothing should blow up from it being off-line, unless you somehow are not
aware of it until after your grace expires.
