And the “admin” of the corporate smart account is probably whoever registered the first Cisco One router several years ago. You can start moving your existing PAKs into smart licensing virtual accounts. I would start trying to get customers to do that. Remembe, PAK keys were associated with a specific user’s CCO. Smart licensing entitlement gets owned by org/virtual account. As long as they actually get it all there, I am fine with it. My fear is they get ½ way through and go… nah too much work… lets go in another direction. Of course license migrations is really code for licensing true up and prove what you actually paid for because Cisco’s records always disappear around this time. At CiscoLive this year it sounded like they were getting push from top down to unify product licensing, so hopefully CC gets on the same boat. I knew that v12 was smart licensing only, but I did not know that they were removing PLM. I’m guessing it’s going to follow the rest of Cisco products (finally) and use whatever smart licensing deployment you have on site. They have a few options, we’ll likely go with a proxy. Of course, UCCx will use it’s own licensing solution.
