Re: [cisco-voip] Jabber support for Extension Mobility - Any other Solutions out there
Cisco doesn't seem to care about shared lines, if they are not registered. You can login to the EM profile when at the desk, then logout. Then you can login to jabber when remote. Just as long as you're not in both you should be ok. Re: [cisco-voip] Jabber support for Extension Mobility - Any other Solutions out there
You're in the same boat as a lot of people. Basically the call center needs you to conform to how it thinks you should work, and then you just bend and bend until its happy, and you're not. :( It's too bad Jabber Extend and Connect doesn't support DNs as remote targets. Otherwise you could you convert to Jabber Extend and Connect 100% of the time. There would be a work around with a loopback ICT or tromboning off a gateway, but that's ugly. Or, I wish UCCX would adopt the power of UCCE and just let Agents specify their targets upon login. Jabber Extend and Connect Documentation for the curious: Design Guide http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_11_0/design/guide/UCCX_BK_U3AF2742_00_unified-ccx-design-guide-11/UCCX_BK_U3AF2742_00_unified-ccx-design-guide-11_chapter_0101.html#UCCX_RF_E796A578_00 Admin Guide http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_11_0/config/guide/UCCX_BK_U2F148AE_00_unified-ccx-administration-guide/UCCX_BK_U2F148AE_00_unified-ccx-administration-guide_chapter_010111.html Restrictions http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/9_1_1/ccmfeat/CUCM_BK_C3E0EFA0_00_cucm-features-services-guide-91/CUCM_BK_C3E0EFA0_00_cucm-features-services-guide-91_chapter_0110010.html#CUCM_RF_R1EF0770_00 There is probably some fancy AXL API programming you can do such that an Agent double clicks an icon on their desktop when they change from "in the office" to "out of office" and it modifies the CUCM database to move their DN from the UDP to the CSF. Have you looked into that? Thanks Matt, that's what I figured but my customer does not want to fire up IPC with EM for the remote users On Tue, Aug 2, 2016 at 10:43 AM, Matthew Loraditch < mloradi...@heliontechnologies.com> wrote: > It is not on any roadmap I have seen and I saw a number at Cisco Live. Re: [cisco-voip] Jabber support for Extension Mobility - Any other Solutions out there
It is not on any roadmap I have seen and I saw a number at Cisco Live. We have the same issue and have to have our CCX employees use IPC when remote. You can either solely use Jabber as a softphone (and only one jabber device type) and no hard phone or you have to use IPC with EM and the Deskphone with EM. Matthew G.
