Hi James
Cant think of a way in CUCM itself.
A little TCL script on IOS box could do it though.
Cheers,

This is the way I handle scenarios like this as well – create a temporary
partition for the DNs, etc. and use BAT to bulk edit them when it is time to
move to production. Having the profiles exposed shouldn’t cause any issues as
long as the DNs are hidden.

Yeah, CUC has Callers Hear: Nothing then After Greeting/Call Action: Hang Up.
How would I dump the call? Select Route Option/Block this pattern: Call
Rejected in the translation pattern?

Does anyone know of a good way to document a Cisco ICM script?
All I do today is take a boat load of screen shots and add comments to them.
Just wanted to know if anyone has a better system.

So if the CUC AA IS NOT playing a greeting and the AA is doing NOTHING but the
after action of hang-up; you could just create a translation pattern that
matches the called number (presumably, the called number is currently a CTI
route point/DN that is forwarding to CUC, you would need to remove
The main question I have... if CUC is being used simply to hang-up on the
calling party, what's the purpose of needing this migrated to CUCM instead of
simply leaving the number unallocated? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to
me that you're specifically looking for a method in CUCM where

Years ago when I was doing a bunch of ICM I begged Cisco for a JSON or XML
export or something for the scripts.
Screenshots is still the only method of which I am aware.

Just curious to poke the hornets nest here.
Would anyone be interested in such a solution for UCCX scripts? (I'm

I echo that.. trying to document those scripts has been a challenge to say the

Very true.
Just leave it unallocated and CCM doesn't have to do anything, but the caller
will get annunciation.

Definitely makes sense and what I thought you were trying to achieve. If this
is the case, then rejecting the call via xlate or route patterns won't do - the
call will be rejected instead of connecting and then being disconnected. You'll

The Presense Indicator (top left) will not switch on the user's Jabber
window, nor will it change for other users looking him up in the directory.
For example he will try to switch it to 'Away' and it won't switch.
Anybody see this?

expectation would be correct with digit manipulation in IOS occurring in the
