*Position: Data Analyst* *Location: Brooklyn, NY* *Duration: 10 months* *Job Description :* The Data Analyst will work closely with requirements analysts and data architects to understand business needs and to translate the specific requirements into appropriate database designs. This role requires interaction with the various teams to bind together the gaps to culminate in a successful project. This candidate will specialize in data warehouse related activities including data loading, delta synchronizations, ODS and data marts/warehouse transformations, business rule integration, configurability metrics and metadata designing. *Skills:* • 7+ years of experience as Data Analyst •Develop, design and test complex program logic in order to produce analytical reports and spreadsheets. •Providing support to analyze data requirements and data stored in a disparate set of systems and designing a robust relational structure for the future •Developing a solution to extract data out of the existing systems and store in the future system •Maintain proper documentation for projects and comply with audit requirements. •Conducting Business Requirements Analysis and educate the various project teams on the proper usage of data structures and data flows. •Conducting data profiling and data analysis on source and target systems •Excellent Oracle SQL skills with the ability to validate data model functionality and performance using SQL •Excellent Oracle PL/SQL skills with packages, procedures •Should have experience working with testing teams, resolving errors, preparing testing scenarios and resolution matrix •Work closely with the project managers in coordinating the implementation of projects. •Must be detail oriented with the ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy of work. •Must have good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment •Great communication and organizational skills. •Strong technical writing skills. *Responsibilities:* •Implement data cleanup transformations, scripts and testing scenarios to unit and system test the deliverables •Research and document data flows •Research and document application integration solutions, ETL, SQL, etc. •Provide thought leadership regarding: Industry practices around collecting data, staging data, cleansing data, standardizing data, and publishing data into transactional systems and data marts.
