Send me resumes at <am...@zenithtechsolutions.com> *Title: Data Warehouse Modeler (2 open positions)* *Duration: 6-12 Months* *Location: Salt Lake City, UT* We currently have 2 Data Warehouse Modeler contract positions open - we expect these positions would be a minimum of 6 months, but will most likely go a year. *We have two main projects/efforts for the two positions. * *#1 Work on analyzing multiple Loan Origination applications* and assist with capture and modeling of that data into the EDW. · This person will need comfortable with Oracle databases, be able to analyze source applications for content and structure, and have a *good understand of OLTP (as well as Data Warehouse) data structures. * · The stronger their knowledge on the financial industry – specifically dealing with loan & commitments - the better. *#2 Work on miscellaneous data modeling requests for EDW to reduce the backlog* of these types of requests. · This person will need to be able to juggle multiple small projects at once. · *They will need to be well-rounded in Data Warehouse data modeling technics (i.e. Inmon and Kimball) and have general knowledge of the financial industry.* Data Warehouse Modeler · The Data Warehouse Modeler (DWM) is responsible for transforming business information into models (conceptual, logical and physical) and managing the enterprise warehouse data model. · This goes beyond the role of a typical application level data modeler in that it requires modeling from an enterprise perspective rather than from a single business function perspective. · The DWM is proficient in industry standard techniques for process and data modeling. · Within data modeling, the DWM must be proficient in both 3rd normal form relational and dimensional modeling. · This person must be experienced in group facilitation with participants from diverse business functions and work skills. *Responsibilities* · Responsibilities include analyzing (reverse-engineering) source applications, modeling, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining the data warehouse, data marts and the operational data store models; establishing policies and procedures pertaining to the management, security, maintenance, and use of the database management system; and training employees in database management and use.
