The incumbent in the role develops and modifies applications and programs per business requirements, following information technology program lifecycle (PLC) management methodology and industry best practices. He/she analyzes requirements and design solutions to meet business requirements, and prepares technical design documents. He/she conducts design reviews, as needed. He/she develops or acquires test data and performs unit and system integration tests. He/she evaluates and provides support for production and other systems, as needed. He/she performs other functions on a need-to basis to support business needs. *Essential Functions:* Develops and modifies applications and programs per business requirements, following information technology program lifecycle (PLC) management methodology and industry best practices Analyzes requirements and design solutions to meet business requirements, and prepares technical design documents Conducts design reviews, as needed Develops or acquires test data and performs unit and system integration tests Evaluates and provides support for production and other systems, as needed Performs other functions on a need-to basis to support business needs Communicates with all levels of staff, including team members, administrators, business analysts, lead and project managers, and client team members and reports updates to supervisor on a regular basis Maintains knowledge currency of standard programming languages, methodologies, database concepts, service-oriented architecture concepts (SOA) and relevant development tools and solutions necessary to support current and planned projects Qualifications *Education and Experience:* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field such as mathematics, physics, or engineering is required.
