*JOB DESCRIPTION :*



Customer has recently implemented HANA technology, and is in the process of
migrating the BW 7.31 system to HANA.

Customer expects to upgrade to BW 7.4.  It has been noted that BW 7.4
security is significantly different from BW 7.31 security, and that
development done today may be impacted by these differences when the
upgrade to BW 7.4 takes place.



*Scope:*



As HANA is a new technology for Customer, we plan to engage a BW / HANA
security consultant to review the current BW and HANA security setup and to
design an optimal security framework on the new technology.  This design
should be based on our reporting requirements and be able to bridge the gap
between BW version 7.3 and 7.4 security requirements.

Security requirements must be met at the following levels:

·        BW level (Analysis Authorizations)

·        HANA level (Information Models - Analytic Privileges or table
based or others)

·        BO level

·        Portal level (CRM Portal,  SAP NW Portal , or any other portals)



The 'to be design' must be in keeping with the following considerations:

·        As Models can be used between Schemas - i.e. Mixed Model scenario
- we need to ensure that the authorizations are maintained in a consistent
manner. In newer releases and future releases, security options can be
automatically replicated between BW and Native HANA schemas.

·        The security model has to be designed considering the future
releases of support packs and revisions of HANA and BW on HANA.



For further clarification see the Reporting layout diagram below.



Customer' Security team will provide an "as is" of current BW security
setup and management practices and policies.

Customer' Business Intelligence team will provide reporting scenarios and
the "as is" for current reporting mechanisms using Business Warehouse,
Business Objects and HANA.

The Consultant will create and document the "to be design" based on best
practices\recommendations and input from the Customer team*.*

The Security design will be implemented on the existing BW 7.31 system.





*Approach:*



·        Work will be performed either remotely or onsite at Customer'
Pittsburgh PA or Sarnia Ontario locations.

·        A project kick off and initial planning session will be held on
site.

·        The Consultant and Customer' PM will develop a project plan and
schedule.

·        The consultant will work with Customer' Business Intelligence,
Security and Basis resources to review reporting requirements and to
conduct security process review and design sessions.

·        The Consultant will identify and document issues with the current
security setup

·        Once the design has been completed, the Consultant will assist
Customer with its implementation in the BW 7.31 system.

·        The expectation is that 70% of the Consultant's time will be spent
on the Security Design, with the remaining 30% used to assist Customer with
the implementation of the design in our PREDEV environment.





*Project timing:*



·        This engagement is expected to take 6-12 weeks, starting April 1,
2014.



*Deliverables:*



·        Project plan and schedule

·        Conduct security review and design sessions

·        Documentation of recommendations and best practices for HANA
security in both BW version 7.3 and 7.4

·        Documentation of potential gaps and issues between BW version 7.3
and 7.4

*Required Skills/Qualifications:*



A senior technical resource with extensive experience in the following
areas:

1.     HANA security 1.0, SP 5 or  higher, revision 68 or higher

2.     BW Security 7.31 or  higher

3.     Business Objects Security 4.0 or higher
