*Position: * *Sr. Java Developer with iBatis Exp. * *Location : Berwyn, PA * *Duration: 6-12 Months * *Interview Mode: Phone then Face to Face* Job Description • This is senior level contract position for a Java Software Developer who has the ability to create code from scratch. • This individual must be capable of performing analysis, design, implementation, testing, maintenance and support tasks with minimal supervision. • This position requires interaction with other group members and departments, and as such, requires excellent communication skills. • This position requires the ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with others to implement solutions Job Responsibilities • Implement, test, maintain and support software, based on technical design specifications - 45% • Prepare technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents - 15% • Review functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provide feedback - 10% • Assist customer support with technical problems and questions - 10% • Assist other development staff - 5% • Investigate software development tools - 5% • Perform special assignments - 5% • Participate in architecture and code reviews - 5% Job Requirement • Minimum of five to seven years experience in software engineering • Very strong object-oriented analysis and design skills • Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java • Experience implementing n-tiered, distributed systems across different Hardware/Operating System platforms • Experience with iterative, incremental software development processes • Experience with complex software development projects through all phases of the software development life cycle • Familiarity with web-based application development technologies is required. • Experience with Web Services design and construction • Experience with application frameworks such as Spring • Experience with persistence frameworks such as iBatis/myBatis • Understanding of database design and software to database interface programming • Relational database experience with one or more of the following: Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server is required • Strong SQL skills • Experience with Java performance analysis and tuning is desired • Familiarity with the Unified Modeling language (UML) • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills • Ability to quickly analyze, organize, and abstract large amounts of information and to make decisions based on this analysis • Awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans • Ability to influence and negotiate when faced with opposing views or resistance EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: • B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering. or equivalent experience.
