Job Title : Jr. Manual Tester Location : Midtown, NY Duration : 12 + Months Mode of Interview: Phone and F2F *Overview of Role:* • The Quality Assurance Engineer will provide quality assurance testing and support for Digital Technical Operations and will be responsible for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing as directed by the Quality Assurance Lead. • They will generate detailed specs from business requirements, and recommend improvements and corrections. *Principal responsibilities: * • Contributing to functional, integration, regression, and performance testing • Create test data fixtures for use in automated test suites to cover edge cases in data and not require the use of live data • Perform load testing in an effort to ensure specific load scenarios are supported or to determine where specific load limits are reached • Participate in refining business requirements into stories and work items *Skill Requirements, Experience and Education:* • 1+ year of proven experience writing functional tests against web applications and APls via scripting languages or code • Experience with Selenium • Worked in an engineering process where fast iterations are used to steadily improve and advance the product • Has proven ability to root out ambiguity in product requests and identify edge cases that need special treatment • Exposure to web based applications and native software device code • Exposure to Linux environments • Working experience with JavaScript • Working experience with one of either C#/Java/Ruby/Scala/Python, or similar modern programming language *Personality Traits:* • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • A team player that will thrive in our fluid, fast-paced, dynamic environment • A highly motivated self-starter • Operates with a sense of urgency and values accountability • A creative problem solver who makes concise and informed decisions • Conducts him/herself with a high degree of integrity Thanks, Arjun D -Sr Executive Recruiter Sonoma Consulting, Inc.
