The qualified candidate will have deep experience in application development and support. The role will be a critical part of our Data Transfer team. The qualified candidate will assume a key technical role with a wide scope including, but not limited to, application development and support of the existing platform as well as recommending significant changes/enhancements to the overall Data Transfer platform. The platform is unique in that it is a hybrid of legacy and current MS technologies. The role will engage with cross functional Business and IT teams including Business Analysts, Data Analysts, Solution Architects, DBA’s, Infrastructure staff, Vendors and Project Managers during all SDLC phases. The position is a contract position but for the qualified resource, will be converted to a full-time position. *Essential Job Duties:* · Maintain day to day system support and development activities of systems and technologies. · Provide off-hours and / or escalated support through participation in rotating coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. · Deliver solutions as required and requested, according to agreed timeline, ensuring solutions conform to company standards and SOPs. · Involved in the full system life cycle and is responsible for design, code, test, implement, maintain and support application software that is delivered within time and cost budget. · Provide technical support to colleagues and clients on technical aspects of projects. · Participate in the delivery of quality software through effective design and peer reviewing of code, unit testing. · Can act as an individual contributor as well as prioritize and manage the work of 2-5 indirect reports *Work-Related Aspects of the Position:* · Has good experience in systems analysis, design and development, quality assurance and integration methodologies. · Individual must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and have demonstrated good problem solving and analytical skills. · Proven ability to work effectively as a team member and can work with limited or most of the times no supervision on projects. · The candidate needs to have attention to detail and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects. · Critical and creative thinking when working on support or development activities. · Must be a flexible, self-motivated team player with a positive attitude. · Must possess strong communications and coordination skills. · Open to learn and migrate to new technologies · Proven ability to follow priorities and timelines. · Is clear about one’s own and the company’s goals and focuses on seeing the work through to completion.
