*Mainframe Storage Admin (San & 3par)* *12 Months* *NYC, NY* *Phone+ Skype Hire* *Only USC/GC/GC EAD* *SUMMARY * This position is responsible for Mainframe Systems and storage administration tasks, Open systems SAN and 3PAR Storage administration tasks. Planning, organizing, and managing team members to ensure the efficient, stable and secure operation of the company's IT infrastructure. This involves developing, maintaining, supporting, optimizing and monitoring key functional areas, particularly voice & data networks, server & storage infrastructure, Data center services and all core services, including databases, middleware and 3rd party tools. The Asst. Vice president will schedule, direct and participate in activities to diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. They will also work closely with IT Infrastructure and Operations Vice President to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. *DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES* Manage Mainframe Systems and storage administration tasks, Open systems SAN and 3PAR Storage administration tasks. Architect services and systems to meet demands to reduce costs and increase the effectiveness of IT resources across multiple locations and datacenters, in conjunction with the IT Vice President, IT Operations Managers and IT Helpdesk. Ensure all infrastructure components meet company''s security needs. Design, implement, monitor and manage servers (Mainframe and Open systems) and related storage and operating systems that process and support corporate business applications. Manage projects within the infrastructure group and participate on projects, upgrades and implementations that impact the production environment. Actively administer the Change Management process to ensure compliance, and all changes to the production environment have been tested, documented and approved prior to implementation. Help ensure the growth and success of infrastructure team members by providing mentoring and training on technology topics, and in the established processes, policies, and procedures. Evaluate and recommend infrastructure components, software, management tools and consulting resources. Actively manage vendor relationship and contracts. Develop and implement standard operating procedures. Perform other duties, as assigned, which fall within scope of responsibility. *QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED* *Knowledge:* Considerable knowledge of multiple platforms, consolidation and ITIL concepts required. Data Center operations, migrations and Co-location Technical and Software Architecture *Technical Skills:* IBM Mainframe and IBM DS 8000 Storage systems administration experience. HP 3PAR Storage administration experience Brocade SAN administration and management experience Knowledge of Management tools and applications (Such as Microsoft Project *Competencies:* Strong written & verbal communication. Proven coaching and mentoring skills to ensure that team members grow technically and professionally. Demonstrated ability to produce quality infrastructure documentation. Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to be on-call 24-hours to provide support for staff and escalated trouble issues. Must have excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills. *OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION* Experience Needed: 5 to 7 years’ experience including knowledge and hands on: Systems Administration of IBM Mainframe, HP 3PAR Storage administration, Brocade SAN administration Working experience in VMWare environments. IT and Datacenter operations. Server & network monitoring and management tools. A considerable knowledge of multiple platforms consolidation and ITIL concepts required *Supervisory Responsibility:* Direct supervision of Infrastructure team, managing Mainframe, storage and network domains.
