Role: Hadoop Administration Location: Deerfield, IL Duration:6+months Again must have EAD or Green Card Hadoop Administrator in Deerfield, IL Must-haves - 2+ years Hadoop Administration - Experience in management and configuration of Ambari, Zookeeper, Hue, Hive, Yarn. (common components running on Hadoop) - Experience with Linux operating systems - Experience with Cluster monitoring, performance tuning. - Experience with user access group design on Hadoop - Experience with troubleshooting potential configuration problems. - Strong collaboration skills, responsive to service needs and operational demands Plusses - Perl, Python, Java is a plus Day-to-Day This position is a contract to hire backfill for someone who just put in their notice. The Hadoop platform is already in the environment, and utilization will be picked up quickly and will be adopted widely over the next year. There’s much more work coming up. There is a 15 node production cluster, so this person will be expanding the size of the cluster and standing up more clusters.
