General Overview:
The Oracle Systems Administrator provides enterprise wide, Oracle eBusiness
Suite support for production, development and staging instances. Candidates
should have professional experience with all aspects of the Oracle eBusiness
system including security, set-up, configuring flexfields, managing
concurrent processes, scheduling requests, ensuring compliance with accepted
auditing procedures and setting up other essential applications features
such as profile options/personalization’s. The System Administrator will
interact with end users to, troubleshoot problems and to test new
functionality within the product, provide training, testing and
documentation.

Skills Profile:

Knowledge and hands-on experience with the following:

· Extensive experience supporting Order Management, Inventory, Purchasing,
and iProcurement.
· Defining and maintaining system security by adding, deleting, and
modifying user access. Imposing limits on what users can access through
menus, security profiles, and responsibilities
· Maintaining System Profiles, Personalizations, Flexfields, Value sets, and
Lookups
· Managing concurrent programs
· Creating and monitoring Alerts
· Installing printers and managing concurrent processing
· Participating in audit related activities
· Utilizing Metalink to help research and resolve SRs
· Troubleshooting routine product issues (Incident Tracking and Resolution)
· Participating as an active member in the software development lifecycle,
through attending new feature requirements reviews and developing leading
edge processes to support these new product enhancements
· Testing: Writing test scripts, recording test defects, preparing test data

Major Responsibilities:

· Application Security (users, menus, and responsibilities)
· Set-up System Profiles, Flexfields, Value sets, and Lookups
· Define and Manage concurrent programs and managers
· Create and monitor Alerts
· Resolve Workflow issues
· Install printers
· SQL and PL / SQL skills
· Familiarity with HA (High Availability) and DR (Disaster Recovery)
concepts
· Experience with shared appl top, 10G application server, and OID/SSO with
Oracle ERP 11.5.10/R12
· Access Metalink to help research and resolve SRs
. Troubleshoot routine product issues (Incident Tracking and Resolution)
· Participate as an active member in the software development lifecycle,
through attending new feature requirements reviews and developing leading
edge processes to support these new product enhancements.
· Develop, facilitate and maintain best of breed product support tools
including run books, monitoring, and knowledge bases to aid in the product
support process.
· Identify functionality and configuration changes to meet new and changing
business requirements and work with the users to test and implement new
functionality
· Understand interfaces in and out of Oracle eBusiness Suite
· Develop new forms and reports

Additional Requirements

· Five or more years of Oracle eBusiness Systems Administration experience.
· Understanding of Oracle Supply Chain Management; Order Management,
Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, iProcurement
· Familiar with Core Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA).
· Knowledge of all aspects of the Oracle ERP System Administrator
· Experience supporting Functional and Application Development Teams working
on multiple development projects and priorities
· Experience in development or analysis a plus
· Expert troubleshooting skills
· Meticulous documentation skills
· Must have strong writing and communication skills; able to communicate
with technical and business community.
· Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to manage
multiple assignments, set priorities and meet deadlines.
· Analytic thinker- takes time to fully understand issues, ask appropriate
questions and be able to present solutions and follow through to completion.
· Participated in audit related activities
· Must be able and willing to travel within the 5 boroughs of Manhattan to
various HHC facilities will be required.
