*Job Requirements*
- -10 years minimum experience in healthcare-related field or public
administration preferred,
- At least 4 years work experience in a managed health care system;
- Must be knowledgeable of managed care claims payment processes;
- Strong leadership and creative problem-solving skills; must possess
excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to
effectively engage stakeholders ranging from members of the public to
agency leadership;
- Knowledge of federal and state public health care programs and
policy, healthcare purchasing, the health insurance industry,
and national
public health care issues and trends;
- Familiarity with Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) preferred;
- Must be highly self-motivated, possess initiative and be able to
work independently;
- Working knowledge of reporting systems and ability to accurately
interpret complex statistical data and reports;
- Ability to critically assess effectiveness of programs, and
identify interventions as needed to maintain or enhance quality and
effectiveness;
- Ability to develop and present recommendations in areas of policy
and procedure.
*Difficulty of Work*
Work is analytical in nature, requiring the incumbent to be able to review
MCE reported information and assess the extent to which MCEs are in
compliance with the provisions in their contracts. The incumbent must have
effective communication skills to relay MCE performance information back to
the MCEs, as well as to FSSA PI and Indiana Medicaid. The incumbent must
have strong organizational skills and be able to work with the MCEs to
develop corrective action plans and timeframes, and hold the MCEs
accountable to meeting these
