GENERAL DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an exceptional, senior level Project Manager to lead
projects
in our Wealth Management, Banking Delivery Business Unit. Currently, we are
using an application that does not do cash processing during bank holidays.
A new project is being launched to create and implement a solution. We are
seeking a candidate who is passionate about the role and has the expertise
to lead project teams in implementing business and technology solutions. This
is a fast-paced area and a successful candidate must be able to act with a
sense of urgency. Qualified candidates must possess a strong sense of
leadership,
excellent communication skills, and a can do attitude. This position is mainly
business focused, but will interact with IT, and the person should have an
understanding of both.
The Project Manager oversees all aspects of the project using planning,
monitoring
and controlling processes. The Project Manager is responsible for coordination
and completion of the project and will perform a variety of tasks including
setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing
progress of the project. The Project Manager will be responsible for multiple
projects.
* Drive and manage the requirements gathering, project tasks/milestone, project
status, dependencies, and timelines, to ensure the projects are launched
successfully
and on time while meeting the business objectives.
* Articulate and negotiate consensus on a final vision of the core project
goals
* Lead the coordination with technical teams to communicate business unit
requirements
* Develop requirement into a deliverable roadmap communicating what
feature/functionality
will be delivered including timeline.
* Identify, manage, and mitigate all issues and risks to minimize impact to
project scope and schedule.
* Align with other concurrent and related projects that feed into the core
project. Identify cross project dependencies.
* Present complex information in a clear and easy to understand manner to
executive
management teams
* Work with Program Manager to develop and support Benefit Metrics and Measures
of Success
* Coordinate with Communication/Change Management Specialist to develop and
execute plans
* Develop training requirements for both technical and business teams
* Work with technical project teams and Help Desk to develop support strategy
and execution
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS - Skills Required:
* An undergraduate college degree or equivalent experience
* 10+ years in Project Management experience is required, agile experience
a plus
* Senior level experience in written and verbal communications on technical
issues to all levels of the organization
* Proven results as a lead on Enterprise scale projects
* Strong presentation skills - Ability to create presentations transforming
technology solutions into business deliverables and benefits.
* Ability to grasp complex technical issues quickly
* Ability to define and communicate complex problems and business requirements
in non-technical terms
* Leadership and organizational skills needed to prioritize project assignments
and provide feedback to staff
* Strong focus on business and end user impact
* Familiarity with enterprise system support processes including change
control,
problem management and escalation procedures
* Big Picture oriented
* Ability to work in a team atmosphere
* Work effectively with a minimum of direction
* Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Proven project management skills
* Ability to coordinate across multiple technology areas to achieve project
results
* Experience engaging business users to deliver new technology which meets
business objectives.
* Ability to develop and oversee multi-year strategic initiatives
* Solid written and oral communication skills. Able to get ideas across in
a non-confrontational manner in one-to-one situations, small groups, and before
large audiences.
* Experience interacting with and managing vendors
* Prior financial/bank experience is highly desired
