*Title: Sr. Test Engineer* Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 6+ Months Experience: 7+ Years Mandatory Domain: Semiconductor *Job Description:* ? Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital, and/or video circuits and logic systems. ? Responsible for assembly & system design along with drafting cable / wiring harness specifications & system layout. ? Integrate client systems in the test lab. ? Emphasis on: Works from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions. ? Setup the system per general guidelines, electrical and pneumatic cabling will be the primary areas of responsibility. ? Perform functional tests ? Assist in developing integration and test procedures. ? Follows standard safety procedures. ? Communicate daily status of assignments to appropriate personnel. ? Follow the prescribed escalation procedure at all times and in all cases. ? Develop test procedures based on equipment to be tested. ? Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. ? Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus. *Mandatory Skills:* ? Must have at least >7 years of previous semiconductor experience. ? BS Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience. ? At least 4+ years of electro-mechanical / test experience in a R&D environment. ? Experience in working with semiconductor fabrication equipment and/or sub-assemblies (including microprocessors) consisting of electronic, mechanical vacuum, fluid / Gas flow, and/or pneumatic sub-systems. Experience in high technology industry or industry with tight deadlines and much ambiguity in an innovative environment. Highly disciplined and a self-starter. ? Possess the ability to read and understand manuals, mechanical / electrical drawings and schematics. ? Volume manufacturing ? Best Known Methods ? Six Sigma (or 5S) Lean methods ?
