////NEED LOCAL ONLY//// Required Skills: At least seven years prior work experience in IT, and at least five years of Oracle database experience. Deep and current experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle Database 11g and earlier, database modeling. Deep and current experience with database design, implementation, and maintenance of business critical systems. Expert understanding of industry trends in database technology and tools. Vertical experience in insurance and .or healthcare preferred. Significant experience in RDBMS performance analysis and performance tuning. In-depth understanding of large complex database systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk and understand varied deployments. Ability to translate technical requirements between application and infrastructure teams. Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills. Ability to exercise good judgment in weighing options and impacts. Knowledge of PL SQL, procedures/functions, and debugging techniques. Experience migrating complex production databases (cross-platform and cross-product). Experience troubleshooting complex complex technical issues. Demonstrated portfolio of complex database designs and their implementation. Knowledge of information technology and business practices with a focus on change management, problem management, and service management. Ability to plan and implement major engineering changes for mission critical systems. Ability to lead technical efforts including work estimation, planning and tracking, issue management; status reporting; and quality assurance. Flexibility to be able to implement engineering improvements during planned maintenance windows. Experience in migrating Oracle databases and infrastructure prudently into production. Ability to lead database infrastructure planning activities, such as hardware sizing, effort estimation and security. Goal oriented with high standards for quality and performance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must with demonstrated ability to draft and maintain engineering and operational documentation for IT systems. Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, science, engineering or equivalent field. Prior consulting experience highly desired. Licenses & Certifications Preferred: Oracle 10g and 11g advanced certifications, SQL certifications.
