Job Title: Sr.Oracle DBA Location: Reston- VA Duration: 6+ Months Primary Skills : They are in 11 and moving to 12 c must know the new features. *Job Description* Need at least 5 years of DBA experience. Need a strong DBA Datawarehouse experience-Using Oracle 12c enterprise edition. AWR core –They are in 11 and moving to 12 c must know the new features. THIS IS A MUST Moderate performance tuning Troubleshooting Data movement Partitioning They are not building data models but they do recognize if it is right or wrong. They are reviewing and know the dos and don’ts. In house build application , very dynamic. It was built around 10 years ago. Still has a lot of activities and releases every year. 1 test cycle takes around a month. Uses specific technologies (end of the day process) Scripting and unix/linux is a must Some programming like python and java is a plus. Database Administrator II is responsible for monitoring space usage, starting up and shutting down databases, diagnosing errors, administering distributed databases and developing automated backup procedures. Monitor databases and performs tuning enhancements to optimize their performance. Develop and maintain utilities to automate problem determination, change implementation, and monitoring activities. 5. Participate as a team-member in data management strategies. Integrate data architecture with appropriate components of the extended enterprise, transaction factories, and the data warehouse. 6. Participate in data-sourcing, import and data validation activities. 7. Provide database change and release management. 8. Coordinate all Oracle system changes with the Operational DBA teams. Requirements/Qualifications: 1. 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA 2. Experience in Oracle performance tuning (SQL, database and system) 3. Experience in Oracle system management 4. Experience in Oracle Architecture 5. Familiar with large multi-terabyte instance management, including partition management 6. Familiar with OLAP data warehouse designs and concepts 7.
