Role : Lead SSRS Developer

Location: Burlington, NC

Length: 2 months

Job Description: 

Ø  Interacts with end users to ensure tight fit between business intelligence 
environment and business requirements. 

Ø  Designs, creates and manages reports and report definitions. 

Ø  Creates and delivers end-user training and documentation and provides 
support 
to other users who develop reports on behalf of their departmental colleagues. 


Ø  Provides repository of best practices on how to use SQL Server SSRS for:

·         Dashboards and drilldown

·         Tabular reports

Ø  Develop dashboards and reports based on user requirements.

Ø  Work hand in hand with business owners and other systems developers in 
support 
of business intelligence solutions as part of the enterprise systems 
architecture

Ø  Develop and maintain documents for requirements, design, implementation, 
and maintenance of the information systems tools and technology

Ø  Work with the Enterprise Business Intelligence Team in support of 
development 
or enhancement of information systems solutions as needed.

Ø  Install and configure all components of SQL Server 2012 based upon best 
practices and client requirements.

 

Required skills:

Ø  Ability to communicate with executive level clients and positively 
contribute 
to client decision making processes about business intelligence strategy.

Ø  Experience in developing data warehouse objects, reports, dashboards and 
scorecards using SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services (SSRS).  Experience 
implementing 
drilldown capability.

Ø  Ability to describe best practices for data warehouse design

Ø  Experience optimizing performance of a data warehouse

Ø  Experience performing data warehouse development

Ø  Knowledge and experience using Microsoft best practices for design and 
development 
of Business Intelligence systems 

Ø  Experience working with business users to gather requirements and translate 
to technical designs.

Ø  Ability to describe ROLAP, OLAP, and MOLAP.

Ø  Strong knowledge of SQL.

 

Preferred skills:

Ø  Experience providing training

Ø  Experience using SQL Server to report from other data sources  (ex. Oracle 
database used for a SQL Server SSRS report)

Ø  Experience with OLAP

Ø  Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

Ø  Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
