*Senior Data Warehouse Architect* *Boston, MA* *Long Term Contract* *Job Description:* A Senior Data Warehouse Architect designs and develops data solutions for the Enterprise Data Warehouse as part of the PAREXEL Corporate Data Management team. You provide senior level technical expertise and in-depth hands-on design, development, implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Platform architecture. You also work closely with business units and data owners to successfully ensure that operational and analytical data warehouses are able to support all business requirements for business reporting across the organization. *Job Responsibilities:* · Hands-on development of logical and physical database designs. · Hands-on development of ETL processes using standard ETL tools and pl/sql procedures and views. · Participate in strategic planning, development and implementation of the Enterprise Data Model and Operational Data Stores. · Promote data sharing, data consistency and data reusability across PAREXEL. · Communicate the overall data architecture to both technical and business constituencies. · Actively participate in agile scrum review and planning sessions. · Actively participate in regular code reviews and maintenance of code and process documentation. · Provide level three production support for integration issues, in liaison with the Application Support department, when detailed deep analysis or source code changes are required. *Job Experience/Requirements:* · 7+ years of database focused IT or software development experience including at least 2 enterprise level data solutions or architecture projects. · 5+ years’ experience in Data Architecture and Data modeling, Database design, with specific experience in dimensional modeling. · 5+ years of full lifecycle data warehousing experience. · 3+ years minimum experience using standard ETL tools (Informatica preferred). · Firm understanding of Dimensional Modeling and Data Warehouse concepts, such as star schemas, snowflakes, dimensions, facts, etc. · Strong experience with Oracle 11i or 12c · Strong experience with ETL tools (Informatica) and data modeling tools such as E/R Studio (or equivalent). · Extensive knowledge of core ETL architectural principles such as modularity, restartability, parallelization and table driven business rules. · Deep understanding of information delivery architecture including the creation of abstraction layers, SQL query paths and optimization, report level calculations and end user reporting architecture. · Experience using data from Oracle E-Business suite preferred. · Experience in Master data management and Meta data management preferred. · Experience in assessing and closing transactional and business intelligence/analytics data gaps in large scale heterogeneous environment where both packaged software and internally developed software exists is required. *Note:* The client needs two professional references during submission from recent projects, without which submission is invalid.
