As Specialist, Data Modeler/Data Analyst, you will be responsible to define
the most complex pieces of a solution in your area of Data Management
Practice. You will act as the subject matter expert to design and architect
innovative solutions in support of client’s delivery teams.



*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*



·  Design financial instrument data model to support research function of a
bank.

·  Establish Data Modeling naming standards, abbreviations, guidelines,
best practices.

·  Drive the data model review process, solicit users’ feedback.

·  Counsel with Subject Matter Experts on specifics topics in order to
accurately capture existing business rules/principles.

·  Analyze legacy applications, including both data content and a
structure, review source code to derive necessary information.

·  Propose new database architecture, support data migration from an
existing Legacy system to a new structure.

·  Educate internal and external team members on data modeling techniques,
database design methodologies.

·  Mentor junior associates; get involved into cross-functional knowledge
sharing activities.



*REQUIREMENTS:*



·  BA/BS degree or higher.

·  Passion for data exploration, data discovery is critical this role.

·  Experience in designing Enterprise scale conceptual, logical and
physical data model.

·  Familiarity with ER data modeling techniques, as well as star schema.
Understanding of OLAP vs. OLTP database design principals.

·  Experience in delivering financial services solutions preferred
(investment banking, asset management, energy or oil trading).

·  Hands-on experience in two of the following: security master, data
migration, data warehousing.

·  Expert knowledge of SQL, data modeling tools, data profiling tools.

·  Understanding of Data Virtualization and Business Intelligence
concepts/technologies is helpful.

·  Familiarity with database capacity planning, scalability assessment.

·  Hands-on experience in high-performance system design (nice to have).

·  Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently.
