Please include your employer details as well. *Job Title* *Oracle Database Administrator* *Project Location* *Dayton OH* *Duration* *6+ months* *NEED : EAD, GC, or Citizen* *Job Responsibilities:* Fulfill DBA daily activities, including schema, user management (creating users, synonyms, privileges, roles, quotas, tables, index, sequence etc.); space management (tablespace, rollback segment), monitoring (alert log, memory, disk I/O, CPU, database connectivity), scheduling jobs, UNIX Shell Scripting. Experience in creating and maintaining Oracle databases in production and non-production environments Expertise in installation, configuration, upgrades and administration of oracle 11g, 10g and 9i databases Installs production database components, patches and database upgrades. Performs rebuilding and recompiling of objects. Designs, implements and tests database backups. Restores databases. Strong experience in Backup and Recovery of databases, cloning of non-production databases from production databases, automation of backups using shell scripts, RMAN scripts, Netbackup and user managed backups. Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) Performance monitoring using ADDM, ASH, and AWR reports Working with NFS volumes presented from NetApp appliance Oracle Log Shipping (DataGuard), Oracle Data Pump Knowledge of tools; Database Control, Grid Control, SQL Developer, TOAD Experience as an Oracle Database Administrator having hands on experience in installations, upgrades, patching backup and recovery, capacity planning, space management, database security, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting and documentation. Preferred experience in installations, configurations, administration and tuning of Oracle 9i, 10g, 10g and 11g R1 and 11gR2 databases Monitoring and optimizing the database performance through Database/Instance Tuning, Application/SQL Tuning and Operating System Tuning Effectively follow change management guidelines for all the changes made to the production and pre-production databases. Works with software development team to identify the database requirements for application deployment. Monitors system performance and space utilization. Audits database security and access.
