*Location: Madison, WI*


* Duration: 18 months + possible extensions*

Madison College will be pushing forward on a number of initiatives that
will require the use of SharePoint as a service.  Madison College intends
to use SharePoint “Out of the Box” to build a new Intranet environment.
Madison College does not have a fully operational SharePoint 2013 instance
and requires technical staff to assist with:

·        Developing the business case/value for SharePoint

·        Developing a SharePoint program and service for Madison College

·        Installing, configuring and setting up SharePoint for College-wide
usage

·        Developing an effective governance and solution development process

·        Establishing policies, procedures and standards for day-to-day
SharePoint operations management

·        Establishing monitoring mechanisms (e.g., scripts) for
SharePoint’s use at the College

·        Piloting SharePoint within the IT group, then rolling it out more
widely

·        Implementing a SharePoint portal, search, taxonomy, metadata, etc.

·        Starting to build SharePoint as Madison College’s Intranet
environment

·        Promoting SharePoint as a service within the user community

·        Developing a customer development/training program (delegated
model) to allow end-users to effectively use SharePoint

·        Establish and develop a support structure, including, a SharePoint
User Group

·        Working with internal IT staff to transition knowledge and train
them to administer and support SharePoint long-term

·        Establishing protocols to safeguard Madison College’s data (PHI,
PII, etc.) from a breach



*Basic Qualifications*

·        Strong knowledge of SharePoint, preferably, SharePoint 2013.

·        Strong Architectural knowledge of SharePoint.

·        Strong Administration knowledge of SharePoint.

·        Strong Solution development knowledge of SharePoint using its
various built-in modules/components.

·        Strong Program development knowledge (i.e., developing SharePoint
as a Service)

·        Strong Application/Solution Governance development knowledge.

·        Strong Leadership abilities.

·        Strong Project Management abilities.

·        Data, application and integration technical skills.

·        Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential.

·        Well-developed skills with Visio, MS-Project, Excel, PowerPoint
and Word.

·        Well-developed skills in .Net development.

·        Experienced working in a deadline-driven environment, handling and
prioritizing multiple tasks.

·        Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.

·        Excellent conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills.

·        Ability to work independently or as a member of a team on complex
tasks.

·        Demonstrated competency in documenting solutions for both
technical and functional audiences.


*Duties and Responsibilities*

·        Design and develop/implement the backend SharePoint
environment/structure.

·        Develop standard operating procedures and governance for
SharePoint as a service.

·        Assess needs of customers for solutions.

·        Work independently and with internal staff to assist them, guide
them and mentor them to develop requirements and build solutions – as much
out of the box as possible.

·        Follow through with users to ensure consistent solutions and
continuous improvement.

·        Provide support to end-users, as needed.

·        Communicate on status to management and teams.

·        4 – 7 years of skills as a Project Manager/Change Manager.

·        3 – 5 years of skills as a data, application and/or integration
architect.

·        3+ years of skills in application development/programming in Java,
.Net or equivalent.

·        2+ years of skills SharePoint architecture, administration and
solution development.

·        2+ years analytical problem solving, business analyst experience.
