*Job Description : *
Overview of role:
- We're looking for a UI Developer to work on cutting-edge hardware
diagnostic software that is used in data centers around the globe. Our
product is a Ruby on Rails app that is used by technicians to discover
hardware problems on remote systems and guide them through steps to correct
those problems.
*Key Points:*
- SW development programmer/scripter who will work closely with remote
Engineers on a variety of development and coding projects.
- Day to day activities:
- Create and improve dynamic UIs for a Ruby on Rails Single Page
Application using JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and Ruby
- Work with internal users to determine ways to improve usability
- Participate in product development in all stages including
planning, design, development, testing, implementation and post
deployment
support
- Execute given assignments in a self-directed manner, anticipate
issues, and modify procedures as necessary
*Specific skill set:*
*Required:*
- Good with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- In-depth understanding of UI design principles
- Experience developing in a Linux environment
- Experience with Ruby
Benefit to have:
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and how to integrate push
notifications with web clients
- Familiarity with VMware virtual machines
- Experience working with an agile methodology on large scale,
technically complex projects
