*Role : Cognos Developer* *Location : Washington, DC* *Duration : 6+ months* F2F INTERVIEW Complete Description: This position will be responsible for designing and developing Cognos reports of moderate/high level of complexity, working with Framework Manager Models and problem resolution of existing reports. Work may include replicating police forms, creating statistical reports, creating scheduled reports and creating reports the user may run on demand. Behavior Characteristics: Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team-based environment; ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines; ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Skills: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating Experience with software maintenance, architecture, configuration and data migration Required 5 Years 3 - Expert Expert understanding of relational database design and maintenance and SQL query languages Required 7 Years 3 - Expert Expert Cognos BI development skills (Report Studio, Analysis Studio, PowerPlay) Required 7 Years 3 - Expert Expert skills and experience with Cognos BI Administration Required 8 Years 3 - Expert Expert skills and experience with Cognos Framework model development Required 7 Years 3 - Expert Experience in designing, implementing logical data models Required 5 Years 3 - Expert Expert understanding of Data Integration / Warehousing methodologies (preferably Informatica) Required 7 Years 3 - Expert Experience in the development and support of reporting solutions using Cognos BI 10 as well as prior versions Required 5 Years 3 - Expert Experience writing design specifications, developing models, framework manager packages, cubes and reports using Cognos BI.
