Position: Network Engineer (3)
Length: 3-6 months
Location: Houston, TX
Start Date: 5.01.14
Overview:
The consultant will provides Network (LAN & Voice) Engineer expertise with
Unified Communications environment. The Network Engineer will provide
engineering
& leadership in the maintenance of network voice and data services standards.
Requirements:
1. Must have 3-5+ yrs Network /LAN configuration , implementation, or
operations/user support through diagnostics for large and complex multinational
organizations inclusive of :
a. LAN routing/switching and Cisco QOS including configuration is a
must
b. LAN refresh/deployment activities whether on site or through remote
access.
c. Applying configurations and testing of LAN
d. Solid security foundation (i.e. ASA) including configuration &
deployment
2. Good knowledge of Cisco hardware and IOS including:
a. Cisco's Wireless Access Points, Bridges and encryption.
b. Cisco Switches, Firewalls, IDS, VPN Concentrator and Routers.
c. Network analyzing/management tools (i.e. Cisco Works, WLSE,
Solarwinds).
3. Must have one of the follow certifications: CCNA or CCNP
4. Experience in the GAS/OIL INDUSTRY is HUGE PLUS
5. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the
organization.
6. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective
communicator.
7. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this
project.
