hi,You can't use clamav itself for that, because it doesn't know this virus yet. sigtool uses 3rd party scanner(s) to find the smallest portion which is recognized as virus. Only the resulting signature can make clamav recognize the infected file.
in the ClamAV tutorial for extracting signatures it is said to use HBEDV antivirus with sigtool for automatic extractions. is there another way? why not just using ClamAV for that? is it possible?
