Hello, in the process of the installation of a software package it need to stop any running instanc of freshclam. This was done with a invoke-rc.d stop clamav-freshclam. However it takes several minutes and we want to speed up the process. Now we use SIGKILL to stop it faster, but we don't know wether is safe to do this or we may break anything.
