Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are doing, but wouldn't it be easier
just to use two separate, independent milters? Sendmail will filter each
message through them in sequence. In my setup, clamav-milter is first,
followed by spamassassin, and then a

I had decided this morning after doing tests all night to just implement MD
which calls clamav and Ken further convinced me of this once reading his

Thanks for your thoughts Ken, After watching my server last night I found
the same thing and have abandoned the thought of running clamav-milter by
itself. MD does a much better all round job of blocking email and viruses
using clamd
