I posted this on the planet already since mailing it won't help since it is about the lists being down. But better to try to post it also to the list so it hopefully reaches people when the machines come back up again.
It is Thanksgiving [1] in the USA which is where the primary GNU servers are. And since machines know the most inconvenient time to die, they apparently do during such holidays. See the status info on savannah [2] (now up again), lists and fencepost still down atm. Sorry for the inconvenience.
