Hi Carl, We are always happy to have more hands. I suspect that you are looking at one of the more recent regions. It looks like it hasn't been enabled in the account and that will be the change needed. Until then, you shouldn't have difficulty finding and using the Fedora images published

In EC2, there is a dependency on the host ip as well. If the ip is modified, then the internal hostname is also different. If the hostname is not updated in the os there will be a difference in the instance hostname presented by the ec2 host management and the instance hostname on any stop/start,

information. I am logged into amazon and I've used aws/ec2 in the past so I know my account works. confirmed. My default console page for AWS is the S3 console. When I click on the cloud icon for launch, I am taken to my default S3 console and there is no action to launch the ami taken. David Duncan
