Hi,
I tried setting up Cloudstack 4.0.0 on XCP 1.5. I already worked around the
problem, that the Xen template has to be renamed but now I'm stuck at the point
where the secondary storage VM should start. As far as I can tell the main
error message is
[Traceback (most recent call last):, Fil
Datacenter refers to cloudstack's zone.
Have you upgraded systemvm template?

There is a storage type called "shared mount point" on the UI, you can add a
pre-setup shared file system into a KVM cluster. Pre-setup means you mount the
file system on each kvm hosts in the same cluster at the same mount point, then
add it back into cloudstack mgt server.

Pardon the confusion, did you it looks like 'PreSetup' or 'local' storage to

The document looks good. I would recommend to add a couple of screen shots
showing how you configure network hypervisor labels from AddZone->SetupNetwork
as you have multiple physical networks.

No, the Tomcat version should work.
Perhaps "there does not seem to be anything in logs." isn't true?
Post the logs on pastebin (including api logs)

That explains why I have 2 out of 50 used :)
So I can define a smaller subset then..
Like mentioned before, please keep me honest on the documenting my setup here

Anyone know if works with kvm, and if live migration works?

Yep.. just was not sure if its needed...
I started documenting advanced network setup for CS4... If you don’t mind,
please keep me honest.. :)

You do. System vms – Console proxy and Secondary storage – will have interface
in this network. You'll see public ips allocated for those instances.

You can use the API to deploy your Zone rather than rely on the wizard, then
you can simply leave out the Public Network elements.
As you already have it deployed, simply use the 'DeleteTrafficType' API command
to remove the Public network from the Physical Network it is assigned to

Do I really need a Public Network if I'm using a shared network offering?
Reason why I am asking, is that public network is presented in Add Zone wizard
when you choose Advanced Network setup and there is no way to delete it.. (that

It would make sense to have Public Network when y
It works on Xenserver by creating a storage pool and then presenting that to
Cloudstack as PreSetup storage. I'm not sure if something similar can be done
for KVM though.

To follow up on this:
1. Should I replace the Tomcat that comes with CentOS / Ubuntu with this new
version?
2. If that is really the issue can we please fix the documentation as we wasted
hours on this.
3. If that is not the issue what else can I provide to diag this?
Thanks,

No, I did not. I was following the installation documentation, so I wasn't
aware I needed to do that. Is there documented information about these
jars (name(s), where to find them) and the flag to turn on for building the
VMWare plugin?
Thanks.

I'm a bit stumped here. I built CS 4.0.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and tried to
create a zone to use a VMWare host: I received the error "Could not find
corresponding resource manager for VMware". Did some searching on Jira
but could not any reference. Is this a configuration issue or a bug?

Dear All,
I am very new to cloudstack and trying to setup det enviroment on windows

I am trying this since two weeks with lots of googling and all..

Hi, I am seeing a similar problem with the latest master and the devcloud test
environment.
mgt server runs fine, configuration runs fine. But the tinylinux template does
not show in the GUI, even though it's in the table and downloaded on secondary
storage.
How can I kick it ?
