I put the options you suggsted, but the mp3 player wouldn't mount when
I plugged it in. I tried manually and didn't work.
mount /media/clip
mount: only root can mount UUID=44AD-4794 on /media/clip
This is my fstab:
UUID=44AD-4794 /media/clip      vfat
rw,nosuid,nodev,uid=1000,gid=1000,shortname=mixed,dmask=0077,utf8=1,showexec,flush,uhelper=udisks2
0       0

I couldn't find an explanation of some of the options on the NET:
shortname=mixed, showexec, flush, uhelper=udisks2
Do you have a link to a explanation of these options?
