This is a difficult decision for me. I have never been forced into a situation like this. However, Brandon's posts to this list have been disruptive to the community and myself. I have therefore come to the conclusion that Brandon needs to be kicked off the list.

I hope we can put this issue behind us soon, and move forward with the development of the CMake build system.

Bill, the guy already sent a public email with personal stuff. He will have enough punishment with anyone being able to google for it.

For anyone that is tired of him, my suggestion is: email filter or killfile. That suggestion goes to Brandon too (to filter Sebastian or whatever was his name). End of story.

The reason why I would vote to keep Brandon is, that, unlike that guy, I found two or three things he did that I found/find useful on this list (and why I sometimes answer his posts).

a) He surfs the web... a lot. Thanks to him I found out about premake and buildr (both of which I had no clue existed). I have yet to find something he linked to truly useful, but there's a chance he'll stumble upon it, even if by sheer chance. He certainly found cmake before I did.

b) In the past, he did raise some valid issues with cmake. He was the first to notice bad mingw/msys support, for example. He was first to point out regexp issues. And since he seems to only code in cmake, he seems to find a lot of (minor) bugs.

c) I actually took the time to look at his mozilla translator (what can I say? boring day). It is not great or something I would use. But it is certainly above totally clueless levels. I would rather keep him around and help him with his code (and for those that are better than myself at it, with his people skills too).
